Azzani Search Consultants was founded in 2009 in San Francisco, California by Eunice and Tarek Azzani with a commitment and focus on building and developing deep relationships with clients and candidates. Our team has become trusted advisors with a creative “out of the box” ability to uncover leadership for organizations seeking to enhance and improve the quality of life for both individuals and the communities in which they live.
Eunice Azzani
Eunice Azzani is a seasoned consultant with forty years in professional service organizations. She has conducted and managed over 350 searches for executives in the corporate, non-profit and government sectors. Her industry experience encompasses financial services, consumer, health care, technology and media.
As a Senior Client Partner with Korn/Ferry International, Ms. Azzani was a member of the firm’s diversity practice whose purpose was to identify, track and place key women and minority executives.
After twenty-three years at Korn/Ferry International in San Francisco, Ms. Azzani founded Azzani Search Consultants with her son, Tarek.
In 1997, she received the Eleanor Reynolds Award from the Association for Executive Search Consultants for combining excellence in search with a commitment to volunteerism.
Eunice Azzani currently serves on the board of Feed the Hunger Foundation. She has served on the SF AIDS Foundation Board, and also chaired the boards of SF Works, The Women’s Foundation of California, Planned Parenthood and Battered Women’s Alternative (now STAND). In 1999, she was Chair of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Board.
Ms. Azzani earned an MLS from Texas Woman’s University and a BA from Texas Tech University.
Tarek Azzani is Co-Founder of Azzani Search Consultants and has been conducting searches from the Bay Area to Hawaii, Washington, Texas, New York and the Philippines in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors for the last thirteen years.
His search experience includes working with a wide range of clients in the Bay Area that include the California Healthcare Foundation, The Health Trust, REDF, Otsuka America, East Bay Community Foundation and Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaboration.
Previously he worked in the consumer products industry for twenty-five years with an emphasis on merchandise distribution while managing and establishing key accounts for Trader Joe’s and Bay Area Beverage, the largest distributor in Northern California.
As an entrepreneur, he worked with a new health product, Youth Juice, to market and distribute it in the Bay Area until 2008. In 2009 he joined Eunice Azzani to start Azzani Search Consultants.
Over the last several years he has coached high school football, baseball and youth basketball as a volunteer and also devoted himself to the community by working with at-risk youth through the Junior Player Development league sponsored by the NFL. He majored in business at St. Mary’s College.
Marcella Azzani is Managing Partner of Research and Business Operations at Azzani Search Consultants and works closely with her partners in creating search strategies for each client. Further, she conducts in-depth market research and analysis and assists in identifying and qualifying prospective candidates. Ms. Azzani also prepares proposals and presentations and manages the overall billing and expense reporting for the firm.
In 2010 she joined Azzani Search Consultants after spending ten years in Corporate Banking, Finance and Project Management at both United Commercial Bank (later acquired by East West Bank) and Deloitte. At UCB’s San Francisco headquarters in the Enterprise Risk Management Department, she managed regulatory examinations with the FDIC, Federal Reserve and Hong Kong Monetary Authority. She previously managed key projects in the Finance Department and worked closely with the Human Resources Department to restructure and build staffing within a critical period of time.
Over the last several years she has been an active community and public-school volunteer, working primarily on fundraising and event planning efforts. She is a member of Orinda Intermediate School’s DEIB Committee, Orinda Junior Women’s Club (volunteer organization) and National Charity League’s (NCL) Acalanes Chapter where she serves as the Philanthropy Liaison for Operation Dignity, an organization serving homeless veterans. She was formerly a Girl Scouts troop leader and a girls’ soccer coach. She majored in Management at St. Mary’s College of California & recently obtained a certificate in Poverty & Inequality from Stanford Online.
