Our Process
Our experience has taught us that successful executive recruitment in the profit and non-profit sector has the following components and requires anywhere from four to six months to complete.
1.
Understanding
the Role
The recruiting team must spend a significant amount of time getting to know the organization and its culture. We find it essential to get a good grasp of client services, programs and products to add to our understanding of the organization and will develop our research strategy and outreach list along with the creation and/or revision of the job description.
2.
Outreach &
Recruiting
Our search process includes the following three-pronged strategy to identify potential candidates:
- Researching target companies/organizations to identify individuals with the specific competencies needed for the position while keeping in mind the right culture fit.
- Accessing key networks that we have established to uncover the required talent. These networks include individuals we have placed, interviewed and tracked throughout their careers nationwide and have a strong diversity focus.
- Using on-line databases to investigate and identify individuals who are recognized as visionaries and thought leaders in their specific functions and sectors.
3.
Screening &
Selection
Once we have identified and interviewed the best individuals that fit the criteria and culture for the position, we discuss their backgrounds with the key decision makers/search committee and begin to calendar the interviews.
The ideal candidate pool will be a diverse group of both external candidates and internal candidates that meet the criteria needed to lead your organization.
4.
Candidate Presentation & Onboarding
We partner with the organization in interviewing several qualified candidates and determine who the finalist will be. Then we conduct formal reference and background checks on finalists. We will then assist with the salary negotiation, offer letter and transition into the new role. Goal setting and first year objectives will also be outlined.
5.
Long Term Commitment
We believe the key to our success in partnering with organizations to uncover and recruit diverse talent is in our long-term commitment to our clients and placements. Our process includes key follow-ups with our placements and clients over the next three years to ensure that expectations are communicated and met.
”What I love most about Azzani Search is that they consider everything for their clients. The qualifications are just a starting point that then leads to the culture alignment, lifestyle fit and providing common incentives to ensure long term success. They are undeterred when it comes to complexity and rise to the challenge of finding the right person for the right opportunity.
